Top 5 Travel and Local Apps Performance in Ukraine for Q1 2023

The first quarter of 2023 saw interesting dynamics among the top travel and local apps in Ukraine. Based on data from Sensor Tower, here’s a closer look at the performance of the top five apps.

Uklon - More Than a Taxi experienced fluctuating weekly downloads, starting with a high of around 61K at the end of December and reaching a low of approximately 35K in late January. However, downloads picked up again, peaking at nearly 59K in mid-March. Weekly active users saw a slight decline early in the quarter but stabilized around 240K towards the end of March.

Ukrainian Railways showed a steady increase in weekly downloads, particularly notable from late February, peaking at over 36K in mid-March. Active users followed a similar upward trend, starting at about 70K and reaching over 123K by mid-March.

Taxi 838 maintained a relatively stable download rate early in the quarter, with a significant spike to over 20K in mid-March. Correspondingly, active users increased from around 63K at the start of the quarter to approximately 71K by mid-March.

BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus saw a consistent download rate with a notable increase in mid-March, peaking at over 20K. Active users grew from around 153K at the end of December to about 159K by mid-March before a slight decline towards the end of the quarter.

FlixBus: Book Bus Tickets showed a steady increase in downloads, especially notable in March, with a peak of about 19K. Active users also increased significantly from around 18K at the beginning of the quarter to over 32K by mid-March.
